12 kw (without Prime Mover) Specific Information
Our recommendations for generator power usage
Most items in your kitchen and throughout your home can be used on generator power, but we recommend using one at a time to limit the possibility of overloading your 12kw generator.
Do use one burner on your electric stove
Do use small kitchen appliances such as microwave and toaster
Do NOT use your washer and dryer
Do NOT use your electric oven
When is my generator supposed to exercise?
Every Tuesday @ 2pm for 6 seconds
April 1st & September 1st @ 2pm for 45 minutes
What do I do when the generator runs for a cumulative 100 hours?
Check your oil (instructions below)
Check your propane
Remember! Propane is not delivered automatically
What if my generator stops during a power outage or doesn’t exercise?

Will say “fault” if one is present
Reset your generator: 90% of the time this will fix the problem
How to Reset your Generator
Press the OFF button
Remove the fuse
Turn the breaker off
Turn the breaker on
Put the fuse back in
Press the AUTO Button
Once reset: if you’ve lost power, the generator should start right up again OR if it failed to exercise, wait for the next one. If the issue persists, contact us.

How to Remove Lid & Check Oil
You must remove lid to access dipstick
Locate and remove the 5 (5/16”) screws in lid: 2 on one side, 1 on each of the others
Lid lifts straight up and off
Repeat to replace lid
Type of oil: fully synthetic 5-30w
Max capacity: 1 quart of oil when empty: add cautiously
